Almighty God, Creator of the World, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Evil is rampant in our world right now and we feel helpless and angry because of those who do wrong and harm others. But Lord, you warn us that it is not productive to stew about people who seem successful even as they hurt others . . . even if they are hurting us. You caution  that fretting only brings harm, and you ask us to trust in you and do good instead.
Please help us trust you, Jesus.
Calm us and help us turn from our frustration and anger because we know our security is in you, nowhere else. Keep us faithful to you as well as friends and family, willing to fulfill our responsibilities. Help us focus our thoughts on you, delighting in who you are and how much you love us. Teach us to commit our way to you knowing you will eventually grant justice. Teach us to be still before you while we wait on you to act. We pray in Jesus name, amen.

Supporting verses:
“Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers! For they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb. Trust in the LORD and do good: dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.  Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries our evil devices. Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the LORD shall inherit the land.” Psalm 37: 1-9
