Almighty God, Maker of Heaven and Earth, Father of Jesus Christ our Lord,

            You created us to be the best of Creation in a world that unabashedly declares your glory. The skies reveal your power. Food sprouting from the earth to feed your creatures tells of your provision and love. You made us in your image and breathed your life into us so we could glorify you by revealing your noble character – with our thoughts, words, and choices. Our treatment of others. You created us to glorify you.

            You desire for us to rejoice in your gifts, marveling at the way you redeem our mistakes. You call us to accept your forgiveness instead of wallowing in self-hatred and regret. You want us to remember to thank you for answered prayers. You command us to express gratitude rather than complaining.

            With your help, we determine that we will be grateful. We will rejoice in our blessings. We will continue to rejoice even in the face of suffering. We will allow your love to flow through us to others so that you will be glorified. We offer this prayer in the name of your Son Jesus. Amen.
